Sheet Vinyl is an affordable and simple way to bring resilient flooring with fantastic designs, such as wood, stone, or herringbone effect, into your home. Its a great way to mimic more expensive materials and flooring styles like hardwood, marble, or porcelain tiles. Advancements in vinyl design have led to a plethora of colour options, embossed surfaces, natural effects and abstract styles.
Sheet vinyl flooring is an affordable option due to its relative ease of installation. Available in a wide range of designs, sheet vinyl will cover most floors in one piece and gives you a waterproof surface that is soft and comfortable to walk on.

Vinyl is exceptionally hard-wearing, making it a very popular choice for high-traffic areas, bathrooms, and kitchens. Vinyl has become increasingly realistic and has several clear benefits:
-
Manufactured to be highly durable
-
Water and slip resistant
-
Hygienic, easy cleanable surface.
-
Realistic design
-
Softer and warmer underfoot than laminate

Manufacture - Sheet vinyl is a PVC plastic core bonded to either a felt or foam backing and topped with a printed design layer and a tough, transparent wear layer.
Unlike other types of vinyl, sheet vinyl isn’t purchased as a tile or plank, but is instead ordered to length from large sheet rolls.
Water Resistant – sheet vinyl is water resistant, able to withstand the spills and splashes that come with everyday life, but it isn’t completely waterproof and can curl up at the edges if left under water for too long. For this reason, sheet vinyl is perfect for the likes of kitchens, bathrooms, and playrooms, where small spills can be cleaned up relatively quickly, but it isn’t advisable for any wet rooms.
Easy Cleanable - sheet vinyl is also incredibly easy to maintain, due the nature of the PVC construction. It only requires basic sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming and does not require any special products.
Realistic Design- Vinyl flooring is a great and inexpensive way to add colour, pattern, and personal style to a room without compromising on safety or quality. In recent years there have been many developments in design and styles, creating effects such as tiles or wood which are incredibly realistic.

Installation
Sheet vinyl is relatively easy to install, depending on the room you want to put it in. Care must be taken when laying sheet vinyl as incorrect cutting can't be undone. Similarly, rips or damage can't be repaired seamlessly.
For installation you have two options, loose lay or glue down.
Loose Lay - sheet vinyl can be laid on top of your subfloor up to a certain m2 depending on which option you choose and how busy the room is. However, this is not recommended in high traffic areas, as the increased footfall can cause the flooring to shift or lift.
Glue Down - the other way you can install sheet vinyl is by glue down using adhesive. This adds further steps for installing your flooring but provides greater stability in high traffic areas and larger rooms, ensuring there’s less likelihood of your flooring lifting at the edges.
